- Discuss your progress on the digital story. What is your plan to be prepared to share your story during the 7th week of class? What do you need assistance with?
Well, I used Padlet. It is not my final, but it was a good start. I need to add a real person interview, but I am not sure if Padlet will accommodate it. My plan is to keep polishing my digital story, so it looks professional. I need assistance with some grammar check and I plan to ask some family members to read it and make recommendations.
- Review the resources for this week and discuss potential application tools for the production of your story or use with students in your classroom.
Done.
- In preparation for the Digital Storytelling in your Community Assignment due next week. Discuss the following:
- Who is the authentic audience for your story? Who will be impacted by it? In what ways might this story resonate with this audience?
My authentic audience is any person who has interest in learning how to improve their depression. The impact of a good ending story may help them to investigate CBT. The story will resonate with those that may be suffering from depression or had thoughts of ending their life. Possible some of the audience will those who don’t want to take medication for depression and are looking for other options.
- What skills and knowledge have you developed as you create your story?
At this point, I was able to use Padlet and add videos and documents. I am learning to keep together my citations. I did some simple drawing on word to make my own worksheet.
- How might your community/students be impacted by engaging in digital storytelling? What role can you play?
I hope that my audience, may be engaging in digital story telling by possibly sharing their stories and making their own animations to share with others. They will be empowered learners, innovative designers, and creative communicators by engaging on online story telling.

Thanks for any suggestions or comments.
Monica, it sounds like you’ve made a strong start with Padlet! It’s a great platform for organizing ideas and media, and even if it isn’t your final tool, it helps you shape the direction of your story. You can upload video interviews to Padlet, but if it gets too limited, you could always create the video elsewhere and link it in.
ReplyDeleteAsking family members to review your grammar is a smart idea; fresh eyes always catch things we miss. I love that your authentic audience is people looking for hope and alternatives for managing depression. Your story has the potential to reach people who really need support, especially those exploring CBT or searching for options beyond medication.
It’s great to hear that you’re becoming more comfortable with adding videos, documents, and citations. Creating your own worksheets is a thoughtful touch and shows how much care you’re putting into the project. I also agree that digital storytelling can empower your audience. Sharing their own experiences or creating short animations could help others feel less alone. You’re not just telling a story; you’re opening a door for people to express themselves creatively and find connection.

David,
DeleteThanks for your comments, it is my first time using Padlet and it really helps to organize ideas and put the information accessible. I just need to sort all the information and pick the most important to make it short and to the point.
